    Bangyin Liu received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), Wuhan, China, in 2001, 2004, and 2008, respectively. He is an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, HUST. His current research interests include renewable energy applications, energy storage systems, power quality and power electronics applied to power system. He has published more 60 papers in the leading scholarly journals and top conference proceedings in Power Electronics. He holds 8 Chinese patents. He is a Member of The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
